Walmart announced a new $100-million gift registry on Wednesday that allows Walmart to buy up to a billion dollars worth of gift cards online, on demand, and at the end of the sale.
The deal was announced at the Black Friday trade show in Las Vegas.
It comes on the heels of a Walmart acquisition in the online gift category of the retailer, including the launch of Amazon Prime and the launch on-demand service.
In its announcement, Walmart said that the Walmart giftcard will be available to Walmart customers in the U.S. and Canada from July 18.
It’s also available to anyone who buys $500 worth of groceries or other items on Walmart.com between Jan. 1, 2020, and March 1, 2021.
The company said that a Walmart giftcards will be eligible for the $100 Walmart gift credit, which is equal to the value of an eligible purchase at Walmart.
The credit can be used to pay for items such as groceries, gas, gas stations, and gift cards.
Walmart is the first retailer to launch the Walmart Gift Registry, a new way for shoppers to buy gift cards through Walmart.
It joins other major retailers, such as Target and Amazon, to offer online gift cards, and Walmart is the latest to announce new plans for gift cards this year.
Last year, Walmart announced that it planned to offer $50 million worth of online giftcards through the Walmart online store.
